Cute Kieki rocking Aviator Nation
On my recent trip to the islands of Hawaii, I got to shoot the cutest kids on the face of the earth! Aviator Nation, located in beautiful Venice beach, was kind enough to let me style the kiddos in their amazing apparel. Taking pictures of kids is seriously one of my favorite things in the world. They remind me to not to take the world so seriously, and to just love life. Here is a little sneak peek below from the shoot.
Thank you to Niche Models & Talent in Hawaii for letting me shoot these adorable munchkins! Mahalo! Click here to view more of the selects from the shoot.
Chick with style: Mars

Style is definitely being passed on to the next generation, and it’s a beautiful thing. For kids to have this cool sense of identity at such an early stage is pretty fresh for me to document. Photographically, I get to showcase these fun little lookbooks and display how far fashion has come to all walks of life. A sense of history and the future as Mars rocks out her Jordan Vs and accessorizes with her shades and iphone 4. Yes, being a kid is definitely fun!
Part of what I love about photographing kids or any person for that matter is capturing them in their most raw, natural form. These images of Mars are a reflection of the wonderful style of her parents, but I know Mars will look at these pictures 10 years from now, and realize that her identity of coolness started an early age. It is important to document these moments. Nothing beats looking back at a visual journal.
The World of Mars

The next generation of kiddos is going to be an interesting one. All of my good friends are starting new chapters in their lives and popping out the cutest kids on earth! I posted a pic of Mars recently with her Milk-Stache. Mars’ parents, Lena and Arsen are two of the coolest peeps on the block. They are involved in the street fashion scene, always throwing events, and are the most genuinely down to earth people in the Miracle Mile Area (shoutouts to Leo’s Taco Truck on Venice and La Brea!).
Mars is seriously too cool for school. For those who know Len, we all have seen Mars’ daily outfit on her FB wall. It’s one of the things I look forward to everyday! Len will definitely be styling our future kiddos!

Here are 2 images from the days before the little one was born. Looking back at these kind of things are what photography is all about. I feel like we shoot so many things everyday and not realize how important these things are going to mean not only for us, but for Mars too. Um, how cool are these kicks? I think Mars has more shoes than me at this point!
Mars’ Milk-Stache Portrait

This is classic Mars. She’s either in the mood for photos, or NOT. Thanks to Arsen for helping me set this up, and thanks to my #1 model, Marlow! Go to Monkey House Toys for the rest of the art show.
