Sonya and Kanoa: Kauai

When I think about Kauai, I think about the good and simple things in life. Family, relaxation, values, hospitality, and just appreciation for everything. Being around the people and the culture makes me want to change so many of my thought patterns and bad habits, and not lose sight of what the bigger picture is.

Sonya and Kanoa are just two people who I’ve met out in Kauai who represent what the island is about. Funny, mellow, and just want to cruise through life with a smile on their face. I think we all lose sight of that sometimes, but I’m super blessed to have met people in my life like them who can bring me back to where I need to be.

We shot on the south side of the island. Kauai is full of old historical towns and lush greenery. It’s one of the most untouched of all areas in Hawaii, which makes it feel like you’re in another kind of paradise compared to Oahu and Maui. I suggest everyone visit this place if you ever have the chance. I’ll be posting more images from my last trip where I stayed on the other side of the island at Hanalei!

If you want to see more photos from their shoot, you can find them in my ALOHA gallery on the website!
Love in Hawaii Kai

Oh man, I love this shot! I took it just about an hour ago. Justine and Chad will have one of the most amazing stories ever as they embark on a new chapter in their lives. We’ve become good friends, and it’s so awesome that they’ve given me so much creative freedom to create and showcase their love. Mahalo!
Aloha from Hawaii!

Here are a few sneak peeks from the shoots I’ve done out here! Mahalo to everyone who has helped so far. I can’t wait to share all the stories with the people I’ve met here. Shoots!
