I Miss you Mom. Happy Birthday!

It’s been 14 years now since my mom left my life, but I feel like she’s always with me in everything that I do. My mom was a pianist,  but I never played seriously. When she passed away, I suddenly started to play by ear a little, and I think that was one of her ways to show me that we could reconnect. Through the music. Her spirit is one of the driving forces behind my photography. Losing her made me realize just how short life is, and that every memory is worth capturing. My mom turns 62 today, and I owe everything to her. I love and miss you so much.  Photo by my mentor, Andy Tecson
