If you can spend a perfectly useless afternoon in a perfectly useless manner, you have learned how to live.

We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know it’s normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take awhile. You’ve just gotta fight your way through.Ira Glass - Full quote (click here)
Spiritual practice is not about going to places and chanting, knowing the stuff and debating. Spiritual practice is the transformation of our perspective and how we look at things. It is how much our mind has changed from negative to positive. That is spiritual practice.Unknown Wise Person
Take chances, make mistakes. Thats how you grow. Pain nourishes your courage. You have to fail in order to practice being brave.

What exactly is the Aperture for?
The prime function is to control the brightness of the image projected onto the film/sensor by adjusting the size of the hole through which the light passes, but it also affects the sharpness of the image.

Do what you LOVE to do, and do it so well that those who come to see you do it will bring others to watch you do it again and again and again.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a great holiday. I am so stoked for what this new year will bring all of us. As I reflect upon the many things I am grateful for, I think about the simple everyday things that we can easily take for granted. I dunno, things like…music, smiles, kids, water, parents, straws, books, waking up healthy & alive! Yeah, totally random order, but you know what I mean.
What I hope to inspire in myself, as well as others is to enjoy this short life we have. I simply want to grow up, but always stay young at heart with an OPEN mind. As I interpret this into my photography, I want to celebrate love in the most simplest form. I want to showcase the everyday things that couples really do, which is essentially just hanging out.
Here are a few sneaks from Christa & John’s shoot. You can just tell that they are comfortable and in their element. This is life for them, and I love that. I hope we can all appreciate the little things everyday, just like this.
